©04.12.22 Saying goodbye to these two dear, dear friends was bittersweet. They have been beyond kind, generous and supportive.
©04.12.22 As with most of this trip I have driven on lots of back roads and state highways. I’ve tried to stay off the interstates whenever possible. I have a general idea of where this is. The drive was beautiful and untraveled. It’s amazing what you miss driving on the interstates.

Marlene and I took an Englishwoman from Louisiana up the mountain to drop her off on the PCT this morning. We stopped on our way back to enjoy being above the clouds.

©04.04.22 Marlene is a trail angel, she drives hikers back up to the trail from town. We dropped off a hiker and did a small section of the trail this morning. We got to a bunch of icy snow on the trail and turned around.
