I have most of the afternoon to spend exploring outside of the park. So I decided to drive up to Mexican Hat in Utah to see what was there. Not much really.

Then I decided to see if I could drive out to Piute Farms overlooking the San Juan River. However, I never did figure out how to get there. Instead I ended up driving on some back dirt roads and turning around when I figured I had missed a turn somewhere. It was an interesting way to spend the afternoon.
